From Oh Fransson:

ABOUT THE QUILT
Use 2-1/2” fabric strips to make these colorful fireflies. Just a few of these large-scale blocks will make a bold and graphic impact on your next quilt! The pattern includes instructions for making quilts measuring 40" x 48" or 60" x 70".

(Please note that the blocks in this quilt are significantly larger than the Frances Firefly blocks in my Fancy Forest pattern.)

ABOUT THE FABRIC
2-1/2” x WOF strips are commonly sold in pre-cut rolls, but can also be cut from your fabric stash.

Five fabric strips will be used to make each Frances Firefly block. The blocks will be most successful when each block is made from five fabrics from the same color family, in a range of values from light to dark. I used fabrics from my Paintbox Basics collection for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

A mid-tone neutral background fabric is recommended, as this will create contrast with both the light and dark solid block details and the colorful fabrics used to make the firefly wings. My background is Robert Kaufman's Essex yarn-dyed linen blend in Indigo. My detail fabrics are Kona solids in Indigo and Snow.

Please refer to the listing images for yardage information.

Please note that my patterns are intended for non-commercial use by home sewers. They are not intended for making items to sell.
