Intentionally designed for business AND pleasure. (And everything in between.)GARMENT DETAILS
Featuring beautiful seam finishes and designed for fabrics with a softer drape, the Gibson Loungewear pattern infuses luxurious beauty into garments that often focus solely on comfort. Timeless features include a trapeze silhouette, gathered neckline, button placket or split opening and a choice of elasticated or flutter sleeves, shorts or pants. For a bit of fun, mix and match tops and bottoms in a variety of complimentary fabrics, or just make the pieces that will fit best into your wardrobe and lifestyle.
Keen to give some handmade gifts this season? Gibson’s loose-fitting style makes it the perfect garment to make for a friend or loved one as it doesn’t require fitting.
Recommended Fabrics: The Gibson loungewear set is compatible with light to mid-weight fabrics with a good amount of drape such as: linen, linen blends, cotton, gauze or chambray. For a softer silhouette, consider: sateen, silk (crepe de chine or habotai) or viscose (rayon). Be careful if you are a beginner though, as these fabrics are a little trickier to sew. Fabrics that fray a lot can be difficult to work with when sewing French seams. This is something to keep in mind when selecting fabric.
