By popular demand! This pattern includes two larger sizes and four new projects using my Hazel Hedgehog block design. The original Hazel Hedghog pattern is a separate pattern, with smaller blocks, and is also available in my shop. Please be sure that you are purchasing the pattern that you want.
This pattern includes instructions for a 20" x 20" Quilted Pillow, a 34" x 37" Baby Quilt, a 48" x 52" Child Quilt, and a 68" x 74" Lap Quilt. These quilts are constructed using standard patchwork piecing and do not use any paper piecing or templates.
All of the projects are made using Large (24" x 26") or Gigantic (34" x 37") hedgehog blocks. With blocks this big, the projects come together quickly, making them perfect for gift giving!
Please refer to the listing images for a materials list and diagrams of the projects. Each hedgehog is made using four fabrics, one each for the face, body, spines, and eyes and mouth. For best results, use coordinating fabrics in a variety of values, from lightest (the face) to darkest (eyes and mouth).
You can also use the included full-size appliqué pattern to add glasses to your hedgehog blocks! The pattern includes basic instructions for simple machine appliqué using the fabric of your choice and lightweight fusible web. More detailed machine appliqué instructions can be found on my blog.
