From Oh Fransson:
Pointy includes instructions for making 4½" x 30½" patchwork arrows in a small or large quilt. The arrows are pieced using conventional patchwork techniques, with no paper piecing or templates.
Instructions for making individual blocks are also included.
Please refer to quilt sizes and materials requirements in the listing images. Pointy is a flexible pattern that can be made with precut fabrics, fat eighths, or scraps.
You will also need the fabric marking tool of your choice.
SELECTING FABRIC
The patchwork arrows in Pointy are made in sets of 5, with each set using 5 squares 5” x 5” each and 5 strips 1-1/2” x WOF or 5 fat eighths. Use 1 set to make the small quilt and 5 sets to make the large quilt. You can color coordinate the fabrics, as I have, or go for an entirely scrappy look. The choice is yours! If you prefer a scrappier look and want to make the arrows individually you can refer to the instructions for single blocks.
I’ve used a white solid fabric for the arrows and a neutral indigo for the background. Don’t hesitate to make different choices, just be sure the fabrics have enough contrast that the shape of the arrows is clear.
Please note that my patterns are intended for non-commercial use by home sewers. They are not intended for making items to sell.
