From Oh Fransson:

These pretty, prickly thistles are made with simple diagonal seams and are perfect for using small pieces of your favorite colorful fabrics.

This pattern includes instructions for making a 24" pillow cover, and large and small lap quilts using a 6" x 18" pieced thistle block.

The thistle blocks are made using conventional piecing methods. No paper piecing or templates are used. You will just need your favorite fabric marking tool. A complete list of the pieces needed for a single block is also included, so it's easy to use scraps and/or make blocks to use in other projects.

Please refer to the listing images for fabric requirements.

My sample quilt was made using Robert Kaufman's Essex cotton/linen blend fabrics. The background is Yarn-Dyed Marine. The leaves are Lime, and the flowers are: Hot Pink, Tomato, Wine, Sunshine, Light Blue, Medium Aqua, Linen, and Rose.

Please note that my patterns are intended for non-commercial use by home sewers. They are not intended for making items to sell.
